gilmour does play with tons of emotion, but its different from the likes of a slash or a buddy guy, gilmours style is more of a focus and trippy style that you zone into, rather than jammin he pours every tear, drop of blood and sweat, and every inch of his mind into his solos

its a fact that it is not the first strat ever made….there were several made prior in 54 which was the first year for the strat….its just the first with the serial number….but just because another one might have 000002 doesnt mean its the second serialized strat….that guitar was the only one in chronological order

Bluebuthappy182: there’s a few significant things going on here that make ppl get a little misty wrt Dave Gilmour & Fender strats. 1) He’s made some astounding music with them; 2) he’s probably done more than just about anyone to popularise them in the modern era; and 3) he owns a 1954 Strat with serial number #1. I think that most ppl would say that guitar is with its rightful owner.
